FOUR CFA Life Membership medals were awarded when Mia Mia Fire Brigade held their pre-fire season presentation night recently.<\/p>\n
Commander Dean Simmons and brigade administrative support officer Sharon Maloney attended to present the medals.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt has been quite some time since our last presentation due to the interruption of COVID,\u201d said brigade Captain Calvin Millard.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe night started with a barbecue and pre-season meeting, followed by the presentations.\u201d<\/p>\n
Life memberships were awarded to Captain Calvin Millard for 40 years, Grant Hulls and former captain Anthony Ryan for 45 years, and Ned Upton for 55 years.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe life members have all held numerous roles within the Mia Mia brigade and other brigades,\u201d said Captain Millard.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey have also held roles in different districts over their years of service.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn the night we also presented certificates for five years\u2019 service up to 65 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
In attendance to congratulate the recipients were fellow brigade members, their families and friends, Eppalock Group Officer Luke Carrarcher, and neighbouring Heathcote Captain Carl Watkins.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
