AGED care associate nurse unit manager Greg Reilly was awarded Heathcote Health Employee of the Year for 2022\/23 at last week\u2019s annual general meeting.<\/p>\n
Mr Reilly was nominated for outstanding leadership during the 2022 COVID outbreak and again in May this year for being a leader who works with staff, residents, and volunteers in a thoughtful, considerate and inclusive manner.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor these reasons, Greg has been recognised by the Board for going above and beyond,\u201d said Heathcote Health board chair Elissa Watson.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis exemplifies the Heathcote Health C.A.R.E. values of compassion, accountability, respect and excellence.<\/p>\n
\u201cGreg is a very worthy winner of the Heathcote Health Employee of the Year Award.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Watson and other members of the board of directors also presented five year service awards to staff members Shelby Keel, Robyn Jacques, Michelle Stirling and Nicole Ingram.<\/p>\n
Dan Douglas, Jaimee Carboon, Sam Harvey, Daphne Mannix and Craig Winter were all recognised for 10 years service.<\/p>\n
Fifteen-year awards went to Anthony Knichala and Frank Dailey, while Simone O\u2019Brien and Anita Carboon achieved 25 years service.<\/p>\n
A Life Governor Award plaque was presented to retired board director Danny Stone.<\/p>\n
Mr Stone served on the board for nine years, the maximum allowable.<\/p>\n
\u201cDanny was previously board chair, chair of the clinical governance committee and an active participant in community events,\u201d said Ms Watson.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis name will be added to the Life Governor Board in the foyer and I would like to thank him for all he has done for Heathcote Health.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Watson acknowledged the hard work by staff, independent sub-committee members and fellow board members.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd although it falls outside the reporting period, it would be remiss of me not to acknowledge the significant work by operational and back-office teams to ensure we were ready for two lots of accreditation recently,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cHeathcote Health was recently informed of successful reaccreditation for aged care and acute services for the next three years.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am proud to share with you that neither the Aged Care Quality & Safety Commission or the Australian Commission on Health & Safety made any recommendations for improvement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is almost unheard of, but no surprise to those of us who have experienced firsthand Heathcote Health\u2019s staunch commitment to person-centred care and safety.<\/p>\n
