THERE\u2019S plenty of time on the road for Bendigo Spirit players, coaches, and fans across the Cygnett Women\u2019s National Basketball League season.<\/p>\n
Among the upcoming drives will be home games at The Arena in Geelong on 15 December against Adelaide Lightning, and on 7 January against Townsville Fire.<\/p>\n
A three-year extension of the Transport Accident Commission\u2019s partnership will help Spirit promote the road safety message, especially on country roads.<\/p>\n
All of the Spirit\u2019s squad have racked up thousands of kilometres for matches and training across their basketball journey.<\/p>\n
In both games in Geelong the Spirit will wear specially designed jerseys featuring road lines inside a yellow sash.<\/p>\n
The TAC\u2019s branding will also be prominent at home games at Red Energy Arena and on the road, on uniforms and court signage and the crowd-favourite TAC blimp is also back.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are rapt to have the TAC\u2019s support once again this season as we look to promote the importance of road safety on country roads together,\u201d Bendigo Spirit general manager of operations David Ingham said.<\/p>\n
Through TAC\u2019s support there will be all-abilities curtain-raisers ahead of both Geelong games, as well as various clinics run by Spirit players and coaching staff across Bendigo and Geelong.<\/p>\n
The TAC\u2019s chief executive officer Tracey Slatter said the road safety organisation was proud to support the Spirit.<\/p>\n
