Bendigo Regional Tourism is set to receive a forty-five-thousand-dollar grant through the State Government\u2019s Visitor Servicing Fund.<\/p>\n
The money will come out of a $3 million statewide pool and assist with a Bendigo Region Visitor Services Review and Strategy.<\/p>\n
\u201cCongratulations to Bendigo Regional Tourism in securing this grant that will help visitors experience all that Central Victoria has to offer,\u201d said Premier and Member for Bendigo East, Jacinta Allan.<\/p>\n
The Visitor Servicing Fund was set up to help develop new technologies to improve visitors\u2019 experiences, so they can most of their trips to the region.<\/p>\n
Along with making local attracting more high-tech, the cash is also aimed at securing local tourism services for the future.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fund will help to connect visitors to Central Victoria to attractions, local businesses and encouraging them to spend more and stay longer by providing high-quality, personalised and timely information about what to see and do around Victoria,\u201d said Member for Bendigo West, Maree Edwards.<\/p>\n
The grant came through Stream A of the Visitor Servicing Fund which allows for grants of up to $50,000, and The City of Greater Bendigo was one of nine successful municipalities across Victoria to receive money this round.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
