{"id":93557,"date":"2023-12-08T04:57:24","date_gmt":"2023-12-07T17:57:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mcivortimes\/?p=93557"},"modified":"2023-12-08T10:23:23","modified_gmt":"2023-12-07T23:23:23","slug":"a-magical-afternoon-at-heathcote-health-aged-care","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mcivortimes\/news\/a-magical-afternoon-at-heathcote-health-aged-care\/","title":{"rendered":"A magical afternoon at Heathcote Health Aged Care"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MAGICIAN Cath Jamison delighted residents at Heathcote Health Aged Care recently with her comedy and illusion show.<\/p>\n<p>The event was part of the Victorian Seniors Festival.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is my second visit here and it\u2019s lovely to see everyone again,\u201d said Jamison.<\/p>\n<p>The illusionest entertained with a range of tricks and invited participation from residents and staff.<\/p>\n<p>Known as Australia\u2019s leading female magician, Jamison has performed all over the world, receiving rave reviews from Tim Burton, Dawn French, and Melissa Etheridge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I was five my father gave me a magic kit and <em>The Boys Book of Conjuring<\/em>,\u201d she told the audience. \u201cThe only girl\u2019s books available were on knitting and ponies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve loved magic ever since.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With a comic twist accompanying her magic skills, Jamison soon had the residents laughing and clapping.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCath was very engaging,\u201d said Leisure and Lifestyle coordinator Carol Fanning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was lots of fun and lots of smiles.
