have been reading for the BIG Summer Read, complete challenges, and go in the draw to win prizes like book, EB Games, or Smiggle vouchers.<\/span><span and events coordinator, said to go in the draw to win a prize, participants must log at least 10 books.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cSummer is the perfect time to unwind with a good book,\u201d said Ms Higgs. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter how long they are, and listening to audiobooks, reading picture books or graphic novels count too.<\/span><span challenge also serves as a way to maintain literacy levels during the lengthy period away from school.<\/span><span break from school and spend some much-needed social time with friends and family, research shows that many children read less over the summer, losing valuable literacy skills they\u2019ve worked hard data-contrast=\"auto\">The BIG Summer Read challenge is free and books can be logged via the Beanstalk app, on paper, or at Goldfields Library Corporation\u2019s website.<\/span><span downloadable from the libraries\u2019 website, need to return them to a Goldfields library by 31 January to go in the draw.<\/span><span
