PATRONS at Gaffney\u2019s Bakery were treated to a surprise performance by the Wandering Minstrels last Sunday.<\/p>\n
Formerly known as the Heathcote Songbirds, the name was changed this year when the group began to incorporate acting as well as singing into their performances.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe choir originally started at U3A about four years ago,\u201d said leader Sally Heley.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been performing a few times a year at the Anzac and Remembrance day services, U3A events, and singing carols at Gaffney\u2019s.<\/p>\n
\u201cInterest has grown and the group includes several men now, which is nice. This year we decided to do something different.\u201d<\/p>\n
