officer of Be.Bendigo, Rob Herbert, said International Women\u2019s Day, or IWD is an opportunity to applaud the contributions of local women across their communities.<\/span><span all to focus on the significant work that remains to be done to improve gender equality and support economic empowerment,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/span><span increased flexibility around working from home and with rosters that supported carer obligations, provided some innovative opportunities for increasing workforce participation.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">However, Mr Herbert said there are still barriers to women\u2019s empowerment such as in industries where a \u201cphysical presence\u201d at work is favourable and unpaid work such as caring presents restrictions.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cBuilding confidence and optimism is important, but building economic empowerment and participation also means we must attend to the structural issues that have kept many women out of the paid workforce for too long,\u201d he planned for International Women\u2019s Day include the International Women\u2019s Day 2024 Zonta Dinner at 6pm on Tuesday 5 March at All Seasons Resort, the Women\u2019s Health Loddon Mallee Breakfast from 8am to 10am on Friday 8 March, and Women of Gold\u2019s Multimedia Public Art Project Launch at 11am also that day.<\/span><span
