CELEBRATING and sharing, love, kindness and gratitude is the focus of a new project at Heathcote Community House.<\/p>\n
The Heart of Heathcote project was launched on Valentine’s Day.<\/p>\n
“Our main focus will be on promoting the love, kindness and gratitude that already exists in Heathcote,” said Community House executive officer Vicki Forde.<\/p>\n
“We will have some new events and activities throughout the year but we really want to celebrate all the things we already have.<\/p>\n
“There are many groups and individuals doing wonderful things and we want to let the community know about them.<\/p>\n
“Acts of kindness, smiles and messages can make a big difference in someone’s life.<\/p>\n
“We want to encourage that spirit.”<\/p>\n
Featured at the front of the community house is a large board with angel wings.<\/p>\n
“Everyone is welcome to come along to the community house and take a photo in front of the angel wings,” said Ms Forde.<\/p>\n
“We would love everyone to share their photos with us on our Facebook page.<\/p>\n
“The display lights up at night and we’ve already had lots of people stop by.”<\/p>\n
The project was conceived during the lead up to Valentine’s Day.<\/p>\n
