{"id":94915,"date":"2024-03-04T04:57:00","date_gmt":"2024-03-03T17:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mcivortimes\/?p=94915"},"modified":"2024-03-04T20:08:49","modified_gmt":"2024-03-04T09:08:49","slug":"apprentices-celebrated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mcivortimes\/news\/apprentices-celebrated\/","title":{"rendered":"Apprentices celebrated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AN apprentice from Quarry Hill was one of three recognised for outstanding work at Master Builders Victoria\u2019s Regional Apprentice Awards Bendigo.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth year carpentry student Emmie Banfield was awarded Apprentice of the Year Bendigo\u2019s Developing Leader Award at the celebration last last month, with the event attended by more than 150 people.<\/p>\n<p>Bendigo TAFE nominated Ms Banfield who has been working with Adrian Bassett Homes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmmie is eager to embrace future opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills over all aspects of the trade,\u201d the judges said in their remarks.<\/p>\n<p>The other two awards went to Vincent McLindon from Echuca who received the Bendigo Chairperson\u2019s Award, and Cain Berryman from Mildura who got the Junior Apprentice Award.<\/p>\n<p>CEO of Master Builders Victoria, Michaela Lihou, congratulated the recipients and the quality of this year\u2019s nominations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is genuinely inspiring to see the enthusiasm and commitment our apprentices bring to their work and it\u2019s important to recognize and celebrate their successes,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy sincerest congratulations to all of the nominees and the winners for everything they bring to the building and construction industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There were five regional Victorian divisions altogether, including the Gippsland, North East, South East, and Ballarat areas.<\/p>\n<p>The Bendigo and other regional division winners now have another chance at a title at the Victorian State Apprentice of the Year Awards at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on Thursday 9 May.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AN apprentice from Quarry Hill was one of three recognised for outstanding work at Master Builders Victoria\u2019s Regional Apprentice Awards Bendigo.
