The unbeaten Saints make their way to Colbinabbin’s M.J. Morgan Oval to face a team on the rebound from consecutive defeats.<\/p>\n
Heathcote co-coach and mid-court star Brooke Bolton said it will be a tough contest.<\/p>\n
“Colbinabbin’s been a strong team for many years and has a lot of young talent,” said Bolton.<\/p>\n
“They have a strong and accurate goaling end.<\/p>\n
“It will be important to minimise their goalers impact as much as possible.”<\/p>\n
Bolton and co-coach Kelsey Hayes will urge their team to capitalise on attacks.<\/p>\n
“It’s important to keep the scoreboard pressure on.”<\/p>\n
“Kelsey and I are confident that when our team plays its best, we will be able to do this.<\/p>\n
“We need to start well and play a consistent four quarters.”<\/p>\n
A knee injury sustained in the opening round win against Mount Pleasant at Toolleen has meant Hayes could face extended time on the sidelines.<\/p>\n
“Scans show Kelsey has a partial tear of her ACL and she’s been referred to a surgeon.”<\/p>\n
“It’s unlikely she will be on court again this season which we are really disappointed about.”<\/p>\n
Wing attack Chelsea Caughey hurt her knee in the third quarter of the match against LBU and was subbed out of the game.<\/p>\n
“We are hoping Chelsea will not miss too many games,” said Bolton.<\/p>\n
Heathcote has recruited Chloe Hill to play in defence.<\/p>\n
“Chloe played A-grade for Benalla in the Goulburn Valley and in ’22 earned the club’s best and fairest award.<\/p>\n
“She had a real impact for us against LBU.”<\/p>\n
