Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The group was led by competitive Pickleball player Paul Henshall from Bendigo who is ranked sixth in Australia for doubles in his age group.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Henshall&#8217;s sister Maree Bell, a local Heathcote tennis player, also attended to try the sport.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Maree, along with many interested locals picked up Pickleball in no time,&#8221; said Ms Smith.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The 90-minute session covered explanations on the history of the game, set up of the court, rules, techniques, scoring and tactics.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Everyone got to have a go and some of the points were quite competitive.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will be offering casual Pickleball sessions at the club every Sunday morning from 9.30am along with the opportunity to have a hit of tennis.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2024\/05\/Pickle3_10489.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Up in the air: An aerial view of the tennis club courts transformed for Pickleball.
