“The walking group is about bringing people together to enjoy physical activity, especially those with some mobility challenges who don’t want to walk alone.<\/p>\n
“Participants come from everywhere in our community as well as the HH hostel.”<\/p>\n
A special torch was constructed by community house volunteer Sylvia Crewe. Stickers will be added to show where it has travelled.<\/p>\n
“It will be a wonderful display of the coming together of the community, passing the torch and uniting in peace and friendship for our community,” said Ms Forde.<\/p>\n
“The HCH together with the O’Keefe Challenge, Heathcote Health and major sponsors Heathcote Community Bank and Mandalay Resources have joined together for the event.<\/p>\n
“We want to ignite our passion for our Community Games to continue all year, bringing us together to celebrate and showcase our amazing united communities.<\/p>\n
“We welcome anyone who would like to be part of our team reigniting the HCH and HCG spirit and have some time, talents or skills to lend a hand.”<\/p>\n
