Photo: BRENDAN McCARTHY<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pickleball, a hybrid of tennis, ping pong and badminton, was introduced to Australia in 2017 and is rapidly growing in popularity throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We had a great response and feedback from our come-and-try pickleball session,&#8221; said Heathcote Tennis Club member Brenda Stocks.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\"><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;Paul Henshall, the brother of one of our regular players and who is ranked sixth in Australia for his age group, led the session.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Paul inspired both club members and locals of all ages.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2024\/06\/Pickleball@Heathcote_74697.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A focused Sandra Fox on court.
