HEATHCOTE Playgroup resumed this month and will be held once a month throughout the year.<\/p>\n

The next session will be held on Wednesday 5 March at 10am to 12pm at Bunbunarik Children’s Hub, 165 High Street.<\/p>\n

Naomi Davis has been Heathcote Playgroup coordinator for the past three years.<\/p>\n

“We have a wonderful facility incorporating both inside and outside play areas,” Ms Davis said.<\/p>\n

“There is a mud kitchen and both inside and outside toys.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Members of St John’s Anglican Church recently erected a shade sail making the outside area more pleasant on hot days.<\/p>\n

“Each session has a theme; this month it was water play and next month it will be autumn leaves.<\/p>\n

“Mums, dads, grandparents and carers are all welcome.”<\/p>\n

Ms Davis said numbers fluctuate but the playgroup, which started in 2013, usually has about 12 adults with their children attending.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“There have been a lot of firm friendships made through the playgroup,” she said.<\/p>\n

“Members often catch up outside of the sessions.”<\/p>\n

Ms Davis has created a Facebook page providing details of sessions, themes and special events throughout the year.<\/p>\n
