STAFF, clients and volunteers gathered last week to say farewell to Royal Flying Doctor Service Transport Program Coordinator Hayley Wallace.<\/p>\n
Ms Wallace has been working with the service for seven years.<\/p>\n
“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the volunteers without whom the service wouldn’t exist,” said Ms Wallace.<\/p>\n
“They are all so passionate about helping the community.<\/p>\n
“It has been inspiring to see their smiling faces coming into the office and heartwarming to work with people who care so much about their community.<\/p>\n
“I have enjoyed playing a part in shaping the service and have become close to many of the clients.<\/p>\n
“I will miss them all very much.”<\/p>\n
Ms Wallace’s position will be taken over by Mary Beedle who is looking forward to her new role.<\/p>\n
RFDS Transport client Charlie Miller said Hayley’s support has helped make the service what it is today.<\/p>\n
“Hayley has always been very professional and helpful every time I needed to contact the office.<\/p>\n
“The service wouldn’t run as well without the terrific staff and amazing volunteers and every one of them is much appreciated.<\/p>\n
“I hope she enjoys her new job and I know Mary will do a great job, too.”<\/p>\n
Health Service Manager for RFDS Victoria, Jocelyn Syme, said Ms Wallace will be missed by staff, volunteers and clients.<\/p>\n
“It has been lovely having Hayley working with us,” she said.<\/p>\n
“She has helped to grow the service from two sites to 10 in locations all over the state.<\/p>\n
“Hayley has had a great relationship with staff, volunteers and clients and although she will be missed, she will always be a part of the service.”<\/p>\n
Ms Wallace is moving to a new position in Bendigo as engagement officer with the Alliance for Gambling Reform.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
