Barry Height travelled the longest distance to attend the latest gathering.<\/p>\n
“I have never missed one,” he said. “I love catching up with my old mates from school, football and cricket.<\/p>\n
“We talk about old times and sadly remember those who are no longer with us.<\/p>\n
“I live in Melbourne now but still think of Heathcote as home.<\/p>\n
“My mum was born in Heathcote and her mum, too.”<\/p>\n
The friends meet up in May and October of each year, usually on the second or third Tuesday.<\/p>\n
“Our next gathering will be on 21 October,” said Mr Stewart.<\/p>\n
