Holdfast Limestone Coast Inc. is set to be a key player in the revitalised Bay Festival at Port MacDonnell next month and before the diverse program of events hosted by the group get underway at the February 21-23 event, they are holding an Aerosol Street Art Workshop, with the workshop creations set to be exhibited during the February festival.

Local artist April Hague is spearheading the January 20 workshop that is looking to find a local Banksy.

Based at the Port MacDonnell Community Hall, the $50-a-head sessions run from 9.30am-12.30pm or 1.30-4.30pm as April walks participants through street art techniques so you can design your own masterpiece.

Local charity Four Reasons Why has purchased the spray cans for the workshop, while Port MacDonnell’s Mary and Ken Mason are providing the boards on which the artworks will be created.

Beginners are welcome with the workshops, where all materials will be provided, targeting 12-18 year olds.s

Holdfast Limestone Coast is a key partner for the Bay Festival with their Holdfast Exhibition at the Port MacDonnell Community Complex being officially unveiled by Grant Mayor Kylie Boston on February 21.

They are hosting three events on February 22 including Travelling Kelp Highway with Helen Mavoa; All About Seaweed, a Deakin University hands=on workshop and a Meet the Researchers discussion all on the festival program.

More details on the festival events will be in future editions.
