Conference heads regional for first time

History will be made this Monday when the Our Voice SA Conference heads to a regional centre for the first time since its inception when the free event is hosted at Mount Gambier’s Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre.

The one-day event is aimed at bringing people together to join workshops, fun activities, and to meet new people.

It is free for people living with intellectual disability and any support people that may be required for the day.

The theme of the 2024 conference is ‘Our Voice Our Journey’ with a focus on the importance of telling your story, making your own decisions and living your life, your way.

Our Voice SA is a self-advocacy group for adults living with intellectual disability, tackling issues including transport, the NDIS, home and community access.

People living with intellectual disability are welcome to become members of Our Voice and friends and family of people with intellectual disability are welcome as associate members.
