Following in the footsteps of an icon
The Maureen Hannan Award of Excellence, Dedication and Loyalty is the most prestigious award Krymzon Academy hands out and this year, three club members earned the right to take home this highest honour.
Tameka Leamey (pictured) was one of the recipients, along with committee members Stephen and Christiane Howes.
Tameka has been a member of Krymzon Academy of Calisthenics for 16 years, working as part of the club’s teams, as a soloist and an assistant, where she has travelled with teams to various South Australia and Victoria competitions dedicating her time to helping coaches and team members perform their best at these events.
She has been an excellent role model for younger students and is embarking on a cadet coach role next year.
Stephen took on the role of president in 2021 and has played a pivotal role in leading the club, supporting coaches, club activities and signage, while Christiane has been Krymzon’s secretary for many years and has dedicated many hours to supporting coaches in many activities and ensuring the club adheres to all policies.
