The Limestone Coast Toastmasters recently held an event at Southern Thai Restaurant to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the inception of Toastmasters by Dr Ralph C Smedley.

The celebration doubled as the 63rd birthday of the locally based club.

Ralph Smedley was the founder of Toastmasters International which now has more than 352,000 members, operates in 141 countries with more than 16,400 active clubs.

Toastmasters is an excellent avenue in which to build social connections and increase your skills in areas such as speech writing, delivering speeches, running meetings and much more.

The local Limestone Coast Club runs the first and third Wednesday of month at the RSL in Sturt Street. New members are always welcome.
