It’s all about fashion & fundraising
It is time to book your seat with the ‘Ladies on the Lawn’ event being held again in Penola.
The fundraiser for the Stand Like Stone Foundation Penola Coonawarra Sub Fund was held in April last year and raised more than $6000 for the local area.
The 2024 event will run from 2-5pm on Saturday, April 6, in Penola Town Square, and includes a Fashion Parade of new season styles, curated by the talented Robyn Wittwer from Salt and Co.
Robyn generously donates 20 per cent of the sales from the event to Stand Like Stone.
Her beautifully curated clothing, accessory and homewares shop opens out onto the Penola Town Square and you are guaranteed a fabulous shopping and styling experience with Robyn and her staff.
This year, you can book seats at a table and also pre-order a grazing platter from Cooney and co to enjoy with a glass or two of local wine or a coffee.
Alice Cooney is a multitalented local chef and will have her food van stocked with incredible tarts and pastries and her coffee machine will be on board.
Later in the afternoon if you just can’t bear thinking about going home and making dinner, the Happi Belli Vietnamese food truck is arriving.
Local businesses are generously contributing raffle prizes and some lucky winners will go home with bundles of goodies.
Coonawarra wineries have donated the wines for the event and a fantastic team of volunteers are putting the event together.
So put the event in your diary, get a group of girlfriends together and head to ‘Salt and Co’s’ Facebook page to book your seats, at no cost and then head to the Cooney and co catering website to order your platter.
It isn’t a requirement to book a seat, but it will mean you have a table to enjoy the afternoon from.
There will be additional seating in the Town Square and lots of room to mingle.
