Money for the Mozzies
MEMBER for Barker Tony Pasin has announced an elected Coalition Government would commit $220,000 to re-surfacing the courts and upgrading the lighting at the Mt Burr Netball Club.
Mr Pasin said the Mt Burr Netball Club has been a hub for fostering a passion for netball in the South East for generations.
“Mt Burr Netball Club is a grassroots club with a great culture and I’m pleased to support them with a pledge of funding to assist in improving the functionality and safety of the club’s infrastructure,” Mr Pasin said.
Mr Pasin said the funding commitment will deliver long-term benefits to the community by boosting participation in grassroots sport.
“Importantly for the Mid South East, the funding will benefit the sporting champions of the future and reduce barriers to participation for women and girls by improving local sporting infrastructure,” Mr Pasin said.
Mt Burr Netball Club president Stacey Lowndes said the funding would provide a huge boost to the club’s offering.
“We are so thrilled that the Mount Burr Netball club has been considered for this funding,” Ms Lowndes said. “This funding will improve the functionality, safety, and overall experience for players, families, and community members at the Mt Burr Netball Club.
“By resurfacing the courts and upgrading the lighting we can create a stronger and more engaged community that is well-equipped for the future.”
