Museum opening its doors
The Millicent Museum is holding its annual Heritage Day this Sunday when it opens its doors from 10am-3pm. The free entry day gives everyone a chance to look through the quality facility and all its different displays and activities.
Built in 1873 as a primary school, the building has housed the Millicent National Trust Museum since 1960. The story of Millicent town and district from pre-settlement times, is based in a large complex via the Visitor Information Centre and includes a Shipwreck room, a large machinery shed, some beautiful costumes and arguably the best collection of horse drawn vehicles in Australia.
