Naracoorte Library set to become a fairyland
It is all about fairies this week at the Naracoorte Library when local author Liz Crowley unveils her new book ‘A Silence in the Forest’ on Wednesday.
Liz will be reading her stunning new story, the library’s fairy colouring in competition will be judged, there will be the opportunity to create magical nature inspired fairy wands, and after all that – what else but enjoying some delicious fairy bread. Everyone is also being encouraged to wear their sparkliest fairy costume. Colouring in competition forms now available in the library.
‘A Silence in the Forest’ focuses on Lily, the fairy, who spends her days tending to the needs of the peaceful forest folk. She loves her role of protecting the beautiful Rosebush Forest. When jealousy arises in the form of Sally the sprite, an old fairy school rival who did not finish fairy school, Lily and those around her must act quickly to bring peace back to the forest once more. Can Sally’s naughty spell be broken, or will the forest be forever changed?
Liz’s book is recommended for children aged 3 to 8 years old. Check out the library’s social media platforms for more details.
