New partnership leads to new chapter

This week marks an exciting new chapter for Lifestyle1 with a rebrand to the Mt Gambier Times.

The dedicated local team will continue to deliver a quality product that has been embraced by the community for the past two decades.

Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has owned the masthead since 2020 and in a bid to further enhance the product, has now joined forced with Times News Group in a shared partnership.

Bringing the experience of Times News Group managing director Warick Brown and his dedicated team on board, adds a new level of publishing prowess to the newly badged Mt Gambier Times, with a focus on value adding through a significantly increased digital presence.

The Times News Group, under Mr Brown’s leadership, runs a successful suite of publications.

“We are really excited to build on the legacy that Jason and Nicola Allen have built in Mt Gambier over 20 years and more recently SEN,” Mr Brown said.

“The new masthead, Mt Gambier Times, will continue to work with local staff and the community to provide great free weekly content across print and digital.

“Free local news allows everyone in the community to keep up to date with what’s good about where we live.”

The partnership between Times News Group and SEN will strengthen the media outlets’ ability to provide strong local news and sport through an increased audience reach.

SEN CEO Craig Hutchison was also looking forward to what the future would look like for the Mt Gambier Times.

“We always saw the potential in, what is now the Mt Gambier Times, and putting it in the hands of someone as experienced and driven as Warick (Brown) will see that potential realised,” Mr Hutchison said.
