New space unveils first exhibition

LOCAL photographer and designer Kristyn Jones is set to unveil a solo exhibition at the newly established The Studio, in the heart of Mount Gambier.

Kristyn’s exhibition is titled Shadows and Stillness and opens this Friday night.

This evocative body of work captures the fleeting, quiet moments in nature where time seems to hold still and is an exploration of light, shadow, and solitude that invites viewers into a space of reflection and calm.

Kristyn’s distinctive visual style is rooted in atmosphere and emotion, often focusing less on what is seen and more on what is felt.

Drawing inspiration from her natural surroundings on the Limestone Coast, her photographs transform the everyday into something otherworldly, intimate, and profound.

The opening night will be held at The Studio this Friday night and includes drinks, light refreshments and an exclusive In Conversation with the Artist, offering insight into Kristyn’s process, influences, and the stories behind the works.

With only 40 tickets available, this is a rare opportunity to engage with the artist and her work in an intimate setting.

This event marks The Studio’s first solo artist exhibition as they look to add another layer to local arts engagement in the Limestone Coast.
