Pet care in the spotlight

June 22, 2024 BY

Dogs and their humans are invited to join the fun at the Millicent Dog Park on Sunday, June 30, from 10am.

Wattle Range Council, in conjunction with the Dog and Cat Management Board, are promising a tail-wagging time for dogs and their human companions as this event aims to raise awareness about responsible dog ownership.

Dog owners can learn about socialisation, nutrition and behaviour techniques and engage with local stakeholder services for dogs as well as a variety of paw-riffic activities, including:

Paws Parade: Dress up your furry companion in their finest attire and strut your stuff for prize categories. Parade starts 10:30am.

Puppy Portraits: Have a digital portrait of you and your best friend taken to keep. Photos will be emailed to you.

Information & Trade Stalls: Stop and have a chat with professionals in canine related organisations and industries.

Registration Help: Dog registrations are due. Staff will be on hand to help with your enquiries and renew your dog’s registration.

Prizes, Promotions and Giveaways: Lucky door prizes, veterinarian vouchers towards desexing and microchipping, and other giveaways on the day.

Catering: Enjoy a ‘Hot Dog Breakfast’ (human food only) with a coffee van also on site.

Don’t miss this chance to celebrate your canine companion at this FREE event. Whether you are a dog owner or a dog lover, everyone is welcome to pawticipate at the Dog’s Breakfast at 1 Mt Gambier Road Millicent.

Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and dogs must always be on a lead.
