Racing club windfall for support group

The Royal Flying Doctor Mount Gambier Support Group has received a windfall for the Mount Gambier Racing Club after a recent fundraising event the club is holping to make a permanent fixture on the calendar.

The fundraiser coincided with the Mount Gambier heat of the Jericho Cup and saw 220 people in the club ‘s function space, taking part in a Punters Club, as well as raffles.

The function ticket included donation into punters club that was shared 75 per cent to RFDS and 25 per cent to table.

It saw almost $4000 raised for the local RFDS Support Group, with Bill Burley and Aaron Davis heading up the event, with the ladies from the RFDS Support Group lending a hand with food preparation and service.
