Ready to help landowners
Support is at hand for landowners looking to become carbon smart with their land management, with the appointment of a new project officer by the Landscape SA Limestone Coast board.
Carbon farming is a change to agricultural or land management practices that results in the reduction of carbon emissions or the sequestration of carbon in vegetation and soil.
Edel Stoner is the newly appointed Carbon Outreach Officer for the Limestone Coast Landscape Board.
With so much information available in a rapidly evolving space, Edel can provide independent information to support landholders to measure their properties for carbon emissions and capacity for carbon sequestration.
Edel can also provide advice and support on becoming a certified carbon neutral farm or business and explore the benefits of participating in carbon markets.
Edel will be offering carbon management workshops for landholders across the Limestone Coast in the near future.
