Rocking the region for 50 years
The Mount Gambier Gem Club rocked Port MacDonnell Community Complex on Saturday with an opening to their exhibition which ‘Celebrates 50 Years of Lapidary Experiences & Excellence’.
Guests marvelled at the displays on show from the club along with some works for sale and children took home painted rocks.
The Gem Club’s Chrissy Pudney said the exhibition had wide ranging appeal.
“I asked Jackson Owen what he loved and he was blown away by the display of a large amethyst geode,” Chrissy said. “Georgia Owen was drawn to the intricate bone carvings and David Berzel loved the photographic displays.”
The exhibition hosts a vast selection of exhibits to suit all ages and will remain on show until Thursday, November 28.
