Seaside wellbeing event to return in January
WHETHER you needed to be energised, find an inner serenity or gather information from the many stallholders available, there was something for everyone at Robe’s Health, Harmony & Happiness Festival on the June Long Weekend.
People from all over the Limestone Coast and further afield, enjoyed the different experiences, products and ideas in a friendly and relaxed environment and with blustery conditions outside it was good to have a hot drink and enjoy being inside.
Special offerings of this weekend festival included the wonderful Saturday meditation sessions with The Brahma Kumaris Australia team.
Heather Gibbons’s Sunday informative morning workshop, Introduction to Brain Gym®, enabled people to understand about this program and experience some of the simple, practical movements to keep you calm and balanced, clear thinking and relaxed.
On Sunday Brett set up part of the Forest of the Fallen on the lawns of the Institute. This display was a special tribute to the unheard voices of Australian people.
It is the story of our people who do not have the opportunity to live their life to the full. Knowledge is so important so we keep ourselves and future generations safe.
The committee would like to acknowledge and thank festival sponsors, all local businesses, for their support including the Caledonian Inn, Robe & District Community Bank, Grey Masts, Robe Nampara Cottages, M & G Hotel Group, Robe Foodland, Robe Icecream and SE Plumbing. Other raffle donors included stallholders and Holiday Robe Retail, Robe Bakery, Loaves & Fishes, Robe Mitre 10, Robe Post Office and Transmutation. Lucky raffle winners went away smiling
With enthusiastic responses from festival stallholders, the Health Harmony & Happiness committee looks forward to planning future events. So, if you missed this event, the next festival will be January 9-10 next year.
