Service club celebrates milestone

President Gloria Lennon inducted Sandra Gray and Nancy Horrigan as new members and recognised two others for 30 years of service.

It was a case of the past and the future colliding when the Gambier City Ladies Probus Club celebrated its 30th anniversary.

President Gloria Lennon inducted two new members into the fold with Sandra Gray and Nancy Horrigan being officially inducted and then two members for recognised for their 30 years of service to the club.

Grace Plew, who also doubled as guest speaker, sharing her life story, and Isobel Phillips, who has also been the centre of attention recently on the occasion of her 100th birthday, were handed their 30 years of Service Certificates, as well as having the honour of cutting the anniversary cake.

The Gambier City Ladies Probus Club meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Mount Gambier Bowls Club at 10am for a short meeting and morning tea.
