Students give back

St Martins Lutheran College students have been front and centre of some vital charity work, recently handing over much needed donations to ac.care and Foodbank.

The Junior School SRC proudly delivered the generous donations from our Winter Warmer Appeal, including bags of blankets and warm clothing, along with a $400 donation, to ac.care.

The Mount Gambier Community Centre ensures that no one goes hungry by making more than 20,000 toasties per year.

The next stop on the donation delivery tour was Foodbank, where students delivered almost 180kg of non-perishable food and another $400 cheque.

Foodbank assists the community through their Food Hub, which offers members discounted groceries. It’s estimated that St Martins’ donations will provide 1,158 meals to those who need it most.

Being able to visit these sites helped show our students exactly how their donations are making an impact.
