THE Royal Flying Doctor Service has received a donation of more than $3000 from Lions in the Lower South East.

Most of the money came from Bunnings sausage sizzles hosted by the Lions Clubs of Gambier City, Mount Gambier and Blue Lake City Lioness over three days in March.

They were held as part of a national Lions partnership with Bunnings that also involved club members being on hand to promote the work that Lions carry out in the community.

The Zone 11 donation of $3169.70 also included funds raised from a Lions social spit roast evening and donations from the public.

The cheque was presented to the RFDS Mount Gambier Support Group during the recent Lions Zone 11 Battle of the Tail Twisters event won by Steve Bell from the Lions Club of Mount Gambier.
