Popular author headed to region to launch new novel

Bestselling author Tricia Stringer will launch her latest novel Back on Track at the Naracoorte Library (10am) and Mount Gambier Library (7pm) this Wednesday.

Tricia Stringer is no stranger to the region, having visited Mount Gambier on numerous occasions to launch her books. With 19 books to her name across three genres, her diversity in writing rural romance, family saga and general fiction has her reaching out to a wide audience.

Back on Track tackles troubled relationships, ageism, and love old and new in this warm, funny, uplifting story of colleagues and unlikely travel companions thrown together on an astonishing and revealing train trip across Australia.

A country girl through and through, Tricia grew up on a farm on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula. Tricia trained as a teacher and librarian, and has worked in the educational field most of her life. She owned the first licensed post office in South Australia with her husband and ran a children’s bookshop.

It was a yearning to bring local history alive for children that started Tricia on the journey to develop her writing skills. She began writing for younger readers, which paved the way for writing adult stories.

Tricia has been hailed ‘the voice of Australian storytelling’ with a host of writing accolades to her name and her passion for writing about Australia’s diverse settings and real community scenarios.
