Two years of hard work recognised
Two years of training was celebrated earlier this year when the Tenison Woods College Academy of Hospitality Class of 2023 officially graduated.
Graduates celebrated their hard work by sharing a morning tea and ceremony in the Sugarloaf Café at the College.
Students have trained in the Tenison Woods College VET Certificate II Hospitality Program, commencing their studies in 2022.
They gained their assessed hours of competency across many contexts including community engagement opportunities, regular scheduled preparation and service sessions in the Sugarloaf Café and participation in many college catering activities.
VET Academy of Hospitality Teacher Jen McCourt said the students work across a range of immersive industry opportunities within the college and the wider community and as a training team they were always very excited to see students rise in not just skills and employability but also in their personal capacity and confidence.
“Students should be very proud of their individual achievements and personal growth over the last two years, their outstanding efforts have allowed them to show their capacity as industry professionals with an awareness of strong work ethic and practice,” Ms McCourt said.
