CLARE Belfrage, one of Australia’s most celebrated glass artist, is teaming up with Wynns Coonawarra Estate to present a one day only exhibition for the 2025 Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival.

The rare opportunity to see Clare’s glass artwork up close and in the unique environment of Wynns historical Gables Basement Cellar is on Saturday, May 17.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 11am to 1pm and entry is free, while the opportunity for an audience with Clare, including canapes and Wynns wines, will be held between 2 and 4pm at $35 a head.

Enjoy a relaxed afternoon of art, fine wine and conversation while discovering Clare’s inspirations, learn about her artistic journey, and gain unique insights into the innovations that define her work.

Clare has maintained a distinguished art practice for more than 35 years.

Her detailed and complex glass drawings on blown glass forms reflect a level of artistic innovation and mastery of her craft that makes her one of Australia’s most renowned artists in this medium.

Inspired by nature and its various rhythms and energies, Clare’s unique sculptural objects express her fine attention to detail and a deep interest in the minutiae of the natural world.
