Workshops for local farmers

February 16, 2025 BY

If you are a farmer wanting to learn more about Greenhouse Gas emissions from your farm, the Limestone Coast Landscape Board’s Introductory Carbon Farming workshops are the place to be and unsurprisingly, they are filling up fast.

Carbon Outreach Officer for the Limestone Coast Landscape Board Edel Stoner said interest from local farmers and land managers in the Limestone Coast had been great.

“I think the workshops come at just the right time when farmers and land managers recognise the need to understand more about how the GHG reporting requirements will trickle down and impact their farming enterprise,” Ms Stoner said.

“It is important for the economic growth of the Limestone Coast that farmers know what to expect through their supply chains.

“We want our local farmers and land managers to be able to make informed decisions around the opportunities available to them in the carbon space. These workshops will clarify this.”
