Bateman & Buhlmann combine for victory

LAST week in very windy, cold conditions, 24 players braved the cold and took part in the 2-4-2 game, playing the full 20 ends at the Millicent Bowling Club.

First place with a score of 33+16 were Peter Bateman and John Buhlmann and runners up with a score of 32+13 were Derrick Lindh and Peter Scanlon.

Other winning teams for the day were Chris Earl, Frank Cooper 32+9. Denis Clifford, Greg De Pamphilis 32+5. Garth Baker, John Scudds 31+5 and Dale Little, Neil Whelan 30+1.

Before reading out the scores, Derek Bowering reminded players of the Men’s and Ladies’ Championship Triples to be played on October 19, starting at 8.30am, also the Somerset Open Fours and Pairs to be played on November 2. Millicent players are asked to please bring a plate of afternoon tea to be enjoyed after the games have finished.
