Blue Lake ladies beat the heat
A true summer’s day saw a shotgun start at 7.30am on February 21 for the 22 women at the Blue Lake Golf Club who decided to brave the heat, a wise choice as conditions were perfect returning to the clubhouse before the heat set in.
The Monthly Medal, sponsored by life member Judy Collins, was won by Bernadette Pedlar whom also featured in the stroke placings.
Also on the agenda was the 1st round of the Collins Court Butcher sponsored Captain’s Trophy and the winner in Division One was handicapper Dianne Perryman 92/20/72, playing consistent golf with 46 strokes on the outward nine with pars on the 3rd, 7th and 9th, all square going to the inward nine to record another 46, even handicap strokes except one over on the 12th and 17th respectively.

Richards had a par on the 2nd and was three over on the turn to the 10th to be all square on the back nine. Pascoe had splits of 54/52 finishing two over on the front and two over on the back.
