Bordertown hosts SE Golf Veterans

Peter Barass (Bordertown) - 3rd - Div1 - 34 pts; Kevin Obst (Bordertown) - 2nd - Div 2 - 34 pts; Pat Seneca (Bordertown) - 1st - Div 2 - 44 pts; & Alan Schultz (Millicent) - 1st - Div 1 - 40 pts.
SIXTY-one South East Golf Veteran players made their way to Bordertown on Monday and found the course in fine condition, as well as the weather, a nice warm 33 degrees.
Best score for today was 40 points from Millicent’s Alan Schultz in Division One, while Penola’s Lindsay Storer and local Peter Barass had 34, for second and third.
In Second Division, Bordertown’s Pat Seneca had a great 38 from another local, Kevin Obst 34 and Trevor Williams 33.
NTPs were Glen Tilley, Brian Prosser and Alan Schultz and the ball rundown was to 28 or better.
The prized Ross Orchard Trophy went to Peter Emetlis from Mt Gambier and Gav Sparrow from Blue Lake.
The South East Golf Veterans event calendar now pauses for the Getaway Week, where a party of 72 go off to the Riverland for four days of play and a rest day in the middle.
The South East Golf Veterans resume normal games at Beachport on May 5.
