Bumper field for Penola event
On a bright sunny day the South East Golf Veterans field at Penola was 78 players, including four Glenelg veterans. The First Division winner was Greg Sinclair, Robe, with 38 points, from Kerry Scales, Heywood, 37 and Mark Pilmore, Millicent, 34. Second Division was won by the local, Trev Williams, with 38 points, from John Kirby, Mount Gambier, 34, and Ian Telfer Beachport, 33. The Ross Orchard Trophy went to Peter Edwards and Herman Van Der Heul and you needed 28 points to get a ball. The NTPs were Peter Ewer, Geoff Bond and Ben Young. Beachport is the next trip on October 23 followed by Bordertown on November 6.
