April 23 saw the running of the April monthly medal sponsored by Grant and Dianne Perryman, the 3rd round of the Collins Court Butcher Captain’s Trophy as well as the second of three qualifying rounds for the upcoming Handicap Championship.

A break in the weather saw a bit of a change happening finally to the fairways with a bit more grass coverage.

Medal winner Sue Agars was also the winner in Division One taking home the top Collins Court Butcher voucher after signing for 92/20/72 finding the course to her liking with pars on three of the four par threes, 2nd, 14th and 16th in her splits of 47/45.

Second on the podium is the ever consistent Rosemary Martland 87/14/73 with a birdie on the 12th and pars on 13 and 14 holes with splits of 45/42.

Trudy Herbert was third after a countback with Helen Myers both signing for nett 74.

Herbert with pars on the 2nd and 5th holes had splits of 51/51 off her 28 handicap whilst Myers had 91/17/74.

Regular Saturday players Kristy Janeway and Renae McQuade came in first and second in Division Two able to play in the Wednesday competition due to work holidays.

Janeway posted 113/35/78 with pars on the long par five 4th hole and on the dog-leg 15th in her splits of 56/57.

Meanwhile McQuade posted 117/37/80 with splits of 60/57 unfortunately a few large blowouts hampered her score and the same could be said for third place Lee Anderson in her splits of 59/59 off her 37 handicap, nett 81, there were a couple of big numbers marring a better score but still able to enjoy a win.

Nearest to the pin 2nd shot winners on the 14th were Herbert (1.05) and Rose Case (3.95). Martland had a birdie on 12th and Anderson 2nd, Allison Mullan 7th, Annette Ford 13th and Agars 17th all had chip-in ferrets earning themselves a chocolate bar.
