Tigers v Central
Tigers batted first in their Division 1 baseball game against last seasons premiers Central.
Second up batter drew a walk from Central starter Koby Chant and scored on an error on a play from third base to first.
Then over the next five innings the Black and Whites went on a hitting and scoring spree.
They scored two in the bottom of the first and a single in the second to give them a two-run lead. Then away they went in the third.
Fourteen batters for seven safe hits, three walks and a hit batter to score eight runs with both Dylan Chuck and Koby Chant picking up two hits each in the same dig.
In the next innings they doubled their score when seventeen batters made their way to the batter’s box resulting in a further twelve runs from just five safe hits but seven walks and a hit batter with Dylan Gull picking two base on ball in the same inning.
Tigers breathed a sigh of relief when they held Central to a solitary run in the bottom of the fifth and final inning. Nineteen of their runs were batted in.

The Magpies travelled to Millicent for their Division 1 game at Bolton Oval.
Batting first they were off to a good start. Lead off batter Mitchell Ruwoldt beat out a throw from third base and brother Samuel picked a walk.
Jake Turner struck the ball perfectly to rightfield which scored both runners.
They scored a further five runs in the second innings when Liam McDonald singled to rightfield, Justin Tzioutziouklaris and Chris Roberts both drew walks, McDonald scored on a wild pitch, Tzioutziouklaris scored on Mitchell Ruwolds Texas Leaguer to centerfield, Brad Lynagh hit into an error, Roberts and Ruwoldt scored on wild pitches as did Lynagh before the inning was wrapped up giving Central a handy seven run lead.
Darcy Pink clawed one back in the fourth when he hit safely to leftfield and scored on Phil Altschwagers hit into the infield.
Cameron Harris found himself at first in the next inning when he arrived at first on another wild throw and crossed the plate on another infield fielder’s choice.
Another run in the sixth after Darcy Pink picked a base on ball and scored on Phil Altschwager’s hit again into the infield.
In the seventh they closed the score difference to just three runs when Jack Hateley hit safely to second base and was batted in by Jordan Johnston now trailing by three runs.
In the bottom of the ninth Jordan Carrison for the Magpies drilled the ball past leftfield for a two bagger and scored the final run of the game when Liam McDonald also hit safely to leftfield with the final score being eight runs to four.
Central Magpies had 8 safehits, 4 base on ball, 1 hit batter, 4 runs batted in , 15 strike outs and made 1 error. Millicent had 5 safe hits, 4 base on ball, 1 hit batter, 4 runs batted in, 5 strikeouts and made 1 error.RESULTS
