Defensive Player of the Year signed for 2024

NBL1 South Defensive Player of the Year Isabella Brancatisano has recommitted to the Pioneers for the 2024 season as the club continues to garner signatures from its key players.

Brancatisano joined the Pioneer in season 2023, averaging 14 points shooting at 42.51% from the floor and 3.92 assists per game with 5.52 rebounds each game in 2023.

The 29-year-old won the hearts of all Pioneers fans with her commitment both on the court and within the community and club.

Head coach Matt Sutton was thrilled Brancatisano was remaining in his roster for the 2024 season.

“Having Isa return for 2024 is important for us; she had an outstanding season in 2023,” Sutton said. “Her effort and toughness along with her skill and team first mentality makes her an outstanding teammate and natural leader.”

The Castec Rural Pioneers and the OneFortyOne Pioneers will commence their 2023 NBL1 South campaigns in April next year.
