Fleming & Lingham get the job done at Blue Lake Golf Club

On a surprisingly frosty morning, a field of 62 played the Blue Lake course earlier this month as partg of the South East Golf Veterans events program, with one of their stalwarts, secretary Russell Lingham, winning Division 2 with a lovely 40 points from Kenny Milsop and Kingston’s Peter Stojanovski, who both had 35.

First Division was won by Robe’s Gordon Fleming on 37, from Mount Gambier’s Peter Waters 36, and Blue Lake’s Wayne Dunford on 34. Lindsay Storer and Phil Hunter took out the NTP’s. The Ross Orchard Trophy was taken by Grant Rowe and Ken Dancey and if you had 29 or more you got a ball.

The next event is at Mount Gambier on August 28 and then Millicent on September 11. Spring is approaching so we hope to see larger fields emerging from hibernation.
