Gambier Centrals kickstarting 2024 with pre-season sessions

The Gambier Centrals Soccer Club will be holding free come and try sessions for women and girls interested in playing football.

There are three age groupings available, Under 13 (from 8 years of age), Under 16 and Senior Women.

No past playing experience is necessary.

The sessions will be about learning new skills with a strong emphasis on having fun.

Come and meet the coaches – Alex Window (Under 13), Swov Kutny (Under 16) and Wanita Robinson (Senior Women).

All new, past or current players are encouraged to come along even if you are simply after a social soccer experience, or have desires to one day run out with the Matildas.

The sessions are set down for Wednesday, January 24 at 5pm and Sunday, January 28 at 10am at the club headquarters at 89 Bishop Road, Worrolong, (just down from the Marketplace)

The club will also see pre-season training kick off for Senior Men teams and Under 17 Boys from Tuesday, January 23.

All current, past and new players are welcome to attend the 89 Bishop Road, Worrolong, Gambier Centrals home base from 6pm. The opening night will consist of a light training session, a bit of a kick around and topped off with a BBQ.

The following six weeks will consist of a 7-aside competition to be held every Tuesday night.

Teams will be selected with bragging rights up for grabs. All interested players are requested to complete the 7-Aside Google Form asap so teams can be arranged.

Friday nights will be the main session of the week working on fitness, skills and match planning.
