George wins trip of a lifetime

TEAM NAB AFL Auskick has named its 17th recruit of the year, with eight-year-old George Manser, from Naracoorte Auskick Centre, joining the team.

Eleven lucky winners will be announced during the Seven Network’s AFL match broadcast, with George being the latest winner to join the team accompanied by his chosen teammate – his friend Mason Dix.

George (pictured right with Richmond legend Matthew Richardson and in action below) and Mason will join their fellow Team NAB AFL Auskick recruits at the MCG in Melbourne for a once-in-a-lifetime Grand Final experience, where they will take centre stage and present the winning team with their premiership medallions.

George lives on a farm near Naracoorte and loves helping his parents out with the animals.

He has three cattle (that he saved up for and purchased himself), and a pet lamb named Billy.

If he won the prizemoney for NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year, he would use it to buy more cows.

He is also a huge Geelong Cats fan who dreams of one day playing AFL for his team.

His favourite players are Jeremy Cameron and Bailey Smith, and he spends hours outside practicing his snap kicks like his idol Jeremy. If he’s not kicking a footy, he’s probably inside kicking anything that resembles one, even Dad’s socks.

George’s chosen teammate is his friend Mason, both boys do Auskick together at Naracoorte.

Mason’s favourite part of the week is Auskick and he always has his cheeky grin on show when he is running around with his friends. When he’s not at Auskick, he is cheering on his beloved Adelaide Crows.

As part of being selected as a Team NAB AFL Auskick recruit, George has the chance to be crowned the 2025 NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year which will be announced during Toyota AFL Grand Final Week.

The lucky NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year will receive a remarkable $5000 prizemoney thanks to NAB and will have a year full of unique experiences, including meeting AFL and AFLW players and attending AFL games and special events.

The 2025 Team NAB AFL Auskick coaches Nick Daicos and Katie Brennan encourage all registered Auskickers to enter via submitting a video online for a chance to join the team.

They are on the lookout for NAB Auskickers who show teamwork, dedication, and passion.

Selected Auskickers will have the opportunity to invite an Auskick teammate of their choice to join them for a remarkable experience, attending the 2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final.
