Heather Teakle takes the win

Division 1 winner Heather Teakle & runner up Denise Harvey with Division 2 winner Lorraine Bruhn & runner up Jill Johnson.
LAST Wednesday at the Mount Gambier Golf Course 36 ladies played a stableford event in absolutely perfect autumn weather.
It was played in conjunction with the Ladies Club Championship semi finals, the most prestigious event of the year for the club.
In A Grade Jennifer Van Ritjhoven defeated Janina Morrison 8/7 and Carol Davis defeated Jan Shanahan 5/3.
B Grade saw Kathy Ewer defeating Lizzie Clements 3/2 and Jeannette Braun defeated Helen McIntyre 2/1.
In C Grade, Lyndal McInerney defeated Debbie Sheather 2/1 and Sue Ryan defeated Yvonne Shirley 2/1.
The competitors for the Ladies for the Club Champions title will be Jennifer Van Ritjhoven versus Carol Davis, the B Grade Championship is Kathy Ewer versus Jeannette Braun and the C Grade Championship is Lyndal McInerney versus Sue Ryan.
The non-finalists played a stableford competition and the winners were in Division 1 – Heather Teakle (Handicap 23) with a split of 15/19=34 points.
Heather had a particular good back nine and on her scorecard she recorded four three pointers.
Second placing was take out by Denise Harvey (Handicap 18) only one point behind with a split of 17/16=33 points.
Denise played very consistent golf and recorded two three pointers.
In Division 2, with the best score of the day, the winning position went to a very excited Lorraine Bruhn (Handicap 43) playing only one over her handicap with 19/16=35 Points which included five 3 pointers. Her 19 points on the front nine won her the day.
Second placing in Division 2 went to the very enthusiastic golfer – Jill Johnson (Handicap 32) only one point behind with 15/19=34 points.
Jill’s highlight of the day was a ferrett on the difficult Par 3, 10th hole earning herself four points plus two three pointers .
Eight visiting lady golfers from Glenroy Golf Club, Victoria were a welcome contingent, who joined the competition.
Seven balls were earned for good scores and went to Bev Pedlar 33 points down to Glenroy visitor Margaret Summerhill on 31 points.
Back from holidays, Leanne Hunt won three ball for her winning shot on the Par 3, 8th Hole. 2nd Shots on the 6th, Par 3 Hole went to A Grade – Di O’Donnell, B Grade – Heather Teakle and C Grade – Lorraine Stratford.
MARCH 29 RESULTS
The weather was fine but became very windy later on in the day when 19 ladies competed in a stableford event.
In first position was Jill Johnson (Handicap 32) with a lovely score of 20/19=39 points.
Jill carded four pars earning 16 points on these holes, plus four three pointers giving her an unbeatable score.
Second position went to Bev Pedlar (Handicap 20) playing to her Handicap with 19/16=36 points. Two four pointers assisted with Bev’s score.
Six balls were handed out in the ball rundown and went to Helen Heaver 35 points down to Carol Smith 32 points.
The Pro Shot on the 8th, Par 3 Hole was won by Betty McKechnie and the NTP on the 16th, Par 3 Hole went to Leanne Hunt.
